Between September 19 and 21, our CEO Filip Navrátil participated in the Future Hospitality Summit. The main topics of the summit were sustainability and innovation in the hotel and hospitality industry. The summit was an opportunity for Filip not only to gain new knowledge but also to strengthen PRESTON networking.
What is the Future Hospitality Summit?
The Future Hospitality Summit brings together the main actors of the hospitality and tourism industry, especially in the MENA region (the Middle East and North Africa). This time, the september Summit brought together over a thousand leading owners, investors and operators from this area to share new trends and insights in the industry. The entire summit was conducted on an optimistic level, as the hotel industry of the entire region is experiencing an upswing.
“In addition to gaining new knowledge, the summit offered a great opportunity to network with interesting people in the industry, such as Christopher Lund, Managing Director of Colliers Middle East. We have been cooperating with Colliers for a long time and are happy to carry out feasibility studies for our Emirati projects. I was also very happy to meet Alan Honein, Rami Moukarzel and Luboš Říha, with whom we could draw inspiration for the future direction of PRESTON Capital" says Filip Navrátil, CEO of PRESTON Capital a.s.
Summit sees the future in sustainability, just like us in PRESTON
Within the framework of the Summit, there was a consensus regarding the need to lead the hotel and tourism sectors in a sustainable direction. We also really value this here at PRESTON, because sustainability is one of our principles for our projects. At the Summit, companies shared and came up with proposals for initiatives for a better tomorrow!
We know that the path to sustainability must be collective, but the individual steps of each actor are also important. We are particularly pleased that the government of Ras Al Khaimah has become one of the key pioneers in sustainability in the MENA region. The RAK Tourism Development Authority focuses on balanced tourism as one of its goals under the Tourism Vision 2030. Ras Al Khaimah aims to develop a tourism industry that is economically, environmentally and socially sustainable. This is good news for our company, as we ourselves focus on sustainability aspect in our projects. We are developing our project Sun Beach Resort in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah itself.

As part of our Sun Beach Resort project and the construction of the EARTH Shore Hotel, we are implementing many sustainable features. Whether it is the use of modular blocks for construction or the completely "plastic-free" operation of the hotel.
